In 1540, the village was bought by the Protestant family of Hornik, who introduced Protestantism in Radzionków. The church was in their hands until 1629 when the Catholic church was restored to Catholics by an imperial decree. With the end of the Thirty Years’ War, a quiet period of development began. The village was in the estate of Count von Donnersmarckwho financially supported all renovations and modernizations of the church and adjacent buildings. In 1821, Radzionków, along with the entire Bytom deanery, became part of the Wrocław diocese. In 1860, the parish priest Mastalski decided to build a new church, which was erected in 1875. It was a difficult period for the parish of the Kulturkampf, when for 7 years, due to the prohibition of the authorities, it was impossible to fill the position of the parish priest. After the First World War, Radzionków became part of Poland. The parish then had 18 thousand. parishioners. In 1934, the parish in Rojca separated from Radzionków, and in 1937 in Kozłowa Góra. After World War II, three more separated: in Sucha Góra (1957), Orzech (1981) and Sójczy Wzgórze (1986).
